Commissioned work : How to order
First contact
Please contact me by email using the form below. I can draw or paint your animal using a variety of mediums and am happy to advise you on the differences between drawing, painting, pastel, pencil, etc. You will find my prices below which reflect my experience of over 20 years of drawing animals (more than 300 portraits) and the fact that I use the highest quality pastel, pencil and oils.

Placing an order – Fixing a meeting
Once you have chosen the medium and the size for your portrait, I will propose dates to meet you and your animal. I prefer to come and see the animal in order to take several photos in good lighting conditions. I accept commissions for drawings from photographs only where a sitting is not possible: posthumous portrait, a surprise present, or where someone is unable to travel for sittings. I can accommodate most requests.

Sketches
Once I have taken my photos or seen your photos and arranged the type of portrait and its design and size, I will ask you for a deposit (50% of the total price), which can be sent by bank transfer
Around ten days later, I will e-mail you two sketches of the animal. You choose which one you prefer and we can discuss this together.

I draw or paint the animal
I need a minimum of ten days for a charcoal drawing, and around three months for a painting.

Finition
After I finish the portrait, I will send you a photo of it

Livraison
On receipt of the second 50% of the fee due, I will send you the portrait. For any commission over 500€, I will also provide you with a copy of the best photo I took, and you will have a certificate of authenticity. If you require more information on commissioning a portrait painting, please contact me.

All my works are accompanied by certificates of authenticity. The portraits are made with oil premium paints, for a better resistance to light. The canvas is linen, for better durability than cotton canvas. I can advise you for the good cleaning of yours paintings.
My paintings are sold without frame but if you want, I can propose a frame adapted to the painting you have chosen.
